Decisions that shape our lives

So nervous about the future. One day your on top of a mountain without a care in the world then the next day it’s back to reality. Nick got several offers from several graduate schools while we were gone to Big Bend. The list so far is LSU, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Montana, and Florida. Of course my top three would be Montana, Florida, & LSU but its not about me… well not for the most part. Montana offered to fly him there at the end of this month to give him a tour and talk to him and we discussed it and he’s going to do that. More offers will probably come and I can’t help but think each place holds a totally different destiny for us, a whole different life in each little place. How will we choose the right one? I worry and then I realize people make decisions daily that alter their destinies completely…it’s just not as obvious. We never know how big or small of an impact running five minutes late can have or a kind word. Maybe those things are the really big decisions that shape our destiny. Matter of fact, I know they are. You face some big decision and ponder over it for days but never think twice about your neighbor or how he is? The decisions that really shape our lives are actually the small choices we make daily, those will determine who we are and what we answer for. Well, now, I’m so glad I talked my way through that I feel much calmer now 😉

    • I’m fond of the coast and warm weather and Montana’s pretty far from any ocean 🙂 but I leave it in more capable hands than my own and trust all will work wherever we are.
